Tecsify, domiciled in Guatemala City (hereinafter, “Tecsify”), respects the privacy of individuals whose data is processed through the Certificados Tecsify platform (also referred to as “Tecsify Verify”).

This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in connection with the operation of the Platform.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to:

• Certificate holders.
• Individuals who consult or verify credentials.
• Organizations requesting the issuance or storage of certificates.
• Any person whose data is processed through the Platform.

2. Data We Collect

Tecsify may process the following personal data:

• Full name.
• Email address.
• Metadata associated with the certificate (course name, date, issuing institution, etc.).
• Unique Identifier (UUID) assigned to the certificate.

Tecsify does not request information regarding age, date of birth, or sensitive data.

3. Source of the Data

Data may originate from:

• The certificate holder (when related to events organized by Tecsify).
• An external organization that has chosen to issue certificates through the Platform.

When data is provided by an external organization, such organization guarantees that it has obtained the necessary authorization to share it.

4. Tecsify’s Role in Data Processing

4.1 When Tecsify is the Issuer

Tecsify acts as the data controller with respect to certificates it issues directly.

4.2 When an External Organization Is Involved

The external organization acts as the data controller for the data it provides.

In such cases, Tecsify acts as a technology provider processing data in accordance with the issuing organization’s instructions.

5. Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed solely for the purpose of:

• Generating digital certificates.
• Storing them on the Platform.
• Allowing their visualization and technical verification.
• Responding to deletion or correction requests.
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.

Tecsify does not use personal data for marketing, profiling, or commercialization with third parties.

6. Visibility of Information

Certificates may be accessible through:

• Direct link.
• QR code.
• Search by email address.

The information displayed corresponds exclusively to the data defined by the issuer as verifiable.

The validity or recognition of any certificate must be confirmed directly with the corresponding issuer.

7. Data Retention

Personal data will be retained while the certificate remains active on the Platform or as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations.

8. Right to Deletion

The certificate holder may request deletion of their data by submitting a request from the email address associated with the certificate to certificados@tecsify.com.

Tecsify will process the request within a reasonable timeframe.

Deletion may result in the future inability to verify the certificate.

9. Security

Tecsify implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

However, no system is completely infallible.

10. Data Transfers

Data may be stored on servers located outside the certificate holder’s country of residence.

By using the Platform, the User accepts such transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

Tecsify may update this Policy at any time.

Modifications will enter into force upon publication on the website.
